Editorial Policy

Last updated August 24, 2026

These are the standards every article on Best Facial Skin Care is held to before it publishes.

Independence

Our recommendations are editorially independent. We accept affiliate commissions but never payment for placement, and commissions never influence a ranking. Brands do not get to review or approve our coverage.

Sourcing & evidence

We prioritise the strength of the evidence behind an ingredient at the concentration used, and we distinguish well-supported actives from promising-but-early ones. Where we describe user experience, it is aggregated from verified feedback, not a single review.

Medical caution (YMYL)

Skincare can touch on health. We are researchers and reviewers, not dermatologists. We do not diagnose conditions or promise that any product “treats”, “cures” or “prevents” anything, and we refer genuinely medical questions to a qualified professional.

Accuracy & updates

We date every guide and revisit them as formulations, availability and evidence change. If we get something wrong, we fix it and note it — see Corrections.

Reviewer sign-off

Roundups and product verdicts are reviewed by our Editorial Director before publication.
